On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Gemma Bircumshaw

Vibrant Accountancy has hired a new client manager.

The Derby-based business has welcomed Gemma Bircumshaw as junior client manager. She has previously worked with global accountancy firm BDO.

Bircumshaw said: “I have been a long-term admirer of Vibrant Accountancy and am delighted to be joining the team. My job will focus on looking after clients and helping them with everything from bookkeeping to preparing their tax returns.”

Bev Wakefield, owner of Vibrant Accountancy, who is on shortlist for our East Midlands Leadership Awards, said: “This year will be a big one for our company and I’m excited to welcome Gemma to our team.

“Gemma brings with her a wealth of experience and is a perfect fit for our team.

“We have a busy year ahead with the launch of our Community Growth initiative for those wanting to make a difference to Derby city, a brand-new 60-day programme where we’ll help businesses explore growth opportunities and engage in some thought-provoking discussions.”

Anthony Richards

True MSP, the tech and IT support firm, has hired new business development manager Anthony Richards.

Richard has worked with high profile clients such as Lloyds of London and Number 10 Downing Street, and brings with him 20 years’ experience.

He said: “Having spent 17 years at CCS Media, I have experience across a range of roles and responsibility levels – starting as an account manager and working my way up to general manager.

“However, when Covid hit, I began to appreciate the work/life balance and evaluated what I enjoy most in my job – the professional services and customer service aspects.”

True MSP was set up by Neil Shaw and Tim Rookes in 2017. Shaw said: “Around 300 people applied for this role with us. We had a massive response to the advertisement, which was posted on LinkedIn among other channels.

“We eventually whittled the applicants down to just three and it was Anthony’s expertise and his ethos, which aligns with ours, that made him stand out.”
