First-time buyers secure Nottingham pharmacy as owner retires

Christie & Co, a property advisory firm, has disclosed the sale of Manns Pharmacy in Nottinghamshire to two first-time buyers.

After a confidential sales process led by Carl Steer at Christie & Co. and financing arranged by David Ward at Christie Finance, the pharmacy has been acquired by first-time buyers Mitan Maisuria and Rahul Patel.

Carl Steer, director at Christie & Co, said: “The sale proved popular, with eight offers from five parties. I have no doubt the pharmacy will benefit from being operated hands-on by Mitan and Rahul, and I wish them all the best with their first pharmacy business.”

Manns Pharmacy, situated in the Mapperley residential area has been owned by Gurinder Singh Mann for over two decades.

The business dispenses around 5,000 items monthly and was recently put up for sale due to the owner’s retirement.

Both will be actively involved in the pharmacy’s operations and plan to expand its service portfolio.

David Ward, senior director at Christie Finance, said: “I am delighted to have arranged the funding for Mitan and Rahul for the purchase of Manns Pharmacy in what is currently a tougher lending market than this time last year. I am sure that they will take the pharmacy business to new levels.”
