Tech company expands portfolio with acquistion of fellow firm

Lincolnshire-based managed service provider Bluecube Cloud Services has acquired Techbox Managed IT Services.

This move is part of Bluecube’s growth strategy as it transitions from a communications provider to a managed service provider, offering a full range of technology solutions including managed IT services and support.

Founded in 2008, Bluecube initially provided mobile phone services for businesses along with other communication solutions like broadband and telephony.

Over the years, the company expanded its offerings to include hosted telephony, unified communications, mobile, and internet connectivity services.

In 2023, Bluecube ventured into the IT sector, and the recent acquisition of Techbox Managed IT Services aligns with its ongoing growth strategy.

Bluecube managing director Paul Reames said: “We are thrilled to welcome the Techbox team and a diverse base of business and education clients to add to our growing customer base. The merging of the Techbox and Bluecube skill sets demonstrates our commitment to bringing new talent into the business as we strive to become a leading MSP within the East Midlands area.”

Bluecube has now relocated to larger premises in Lincoln to accommodate the expanded team.
