Housing developer faces uncertain future as administrators alerted

A Derby developer which was recently ordered to pay almost £15,000 in a prosecution brought by Natural England is now close to calling in administrators.

Radbourne Construction has posted a notice of intention to appoint administrators through One Stop Business Finance, which holds a charge over the company. The move protects Radbourne Construction from creditor action for a period of around ten days while it tries to look for a way forward.

Last October, Radbourne Construction was ordered to pay £14,435.17 in a prosecution brought by Natural England for breaching the conditions of a European protected species bat mitigation licence.

In September of last year, Patrick Weekes of Radbourne Construction pleaded guilty to four offences relating to a housing development in Harehill, near Ashbourne.

In its latest available accounts, made up to September 29 2022, Radbourne Construction had assets of almost £3.9m. At the the time, the company employed seven people.

The company’s website is currently unavailable.
