Housebuilder submits plans for £50m residential development

Plans have been submitted by housebuilder Honey to deliver a £50m, 174-home development in Killamarsh, Derbyshire.

The proposed development is called Aurella, will be on Upperthorpe Road and will comprise a mix of one-, two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes across semi-detached and detached properties.

As part of the local plan for the North East Derbyshire district, 35 out of the 174 homes on the site will be designated as affordable housing.

Pending approval from the North East Derbyshire District Council, construction is slated to commence in the summer, with the first residents expected to move in by the following spring.

Honey’s chief executive officer, Mark Mitchell, said: “We are committed to delivering homes designed to combine style, substance and sustainability for the benefit of our buyers and the communities in which we build.

“Aurelle is a fantastic example of this. Our proposed development will provide high-quality, high-specification new homes to meet the significant demand that exists in and around Killamarsh. Having submitted our plans for the site, we now look forward to them being considered by North East Derbyshire District Council to make our vision for the development a reality.”
