Flexible workspace opens third location following £900,000 investment

Phenix Salon Suites, a flexible workspace tailored for hair and beauty professionals, is preparing to open its third UK location in Nottingham city centre, following a £900,000 investment.

The new 4,747 sq ft space is in Flying Horse Walk, Nottingham’s boutique retail shopping centre, and offers an opportunity for SMEs and freelance professionals in the East Midlands seeking an alternative to traditional salon ownership or chair rental.

John Gillespie, managing director of Phenix Salon Suites UK/Europe, said: “Nottingham is one of the UK’s most culturally vibrant cities, with a rich history juxtaposed with a very modern fashion identity, making it the perfect place for Phenix Salon Suites to launch our third UK location.

“We understand the challenges hair and beauty professionals face in today’s market and are thrilled to build on the success of our Manchester and Birmingham sites and offer 25 individuals a unique opportunity to own and design their space in a professional setting within this incredible city.”

Each tenant will benefit from shared facilities such as a break room/kitchen area and an on-site laundry room equipped with commercial-grade machines for fast washing and drying.

In addition to providing individualised suites for each tenant, Phenix Salon Suites is launching a Dragon’s Den-style competition aimed at discovering Nottingham’s emerging hair and beauty talent.

The winner of the Phenix Grant will receive a year of rent-free operation within the upscale suites, personalised business guidance from John and his seasoned team, and access to a series of business and creative education seminars valued at over £30,000.
