Tech firm adopts new leadership structure

Node4, a cloud-focused managed services provider, has appointed Hannah Birch as group managing director, as the firm a takes on a new leadership structure.

The restructuring follows the integration of several acquired businesses by the Derby-based company over the past three years.

Founder Andrew Gilbert will continue in his role as CEO, while Paul Bryce will assume the position of chief experience officer (CXO).

Birch, who joined Node4 in January 2023, brings over 20 years of technology leadership, including a decade as managing director at Accenture.

As group managing director, she will guide Node4 through its next phase of growth, utilising its partnership with Microsoft to establish a Microsoft Centre of Excellence and ensuring smooth service delivery across diverse IT area.

She said: “I am delighted to lead Node4 into this exciting new chapter as we bring together our comprehensive suite of IT services and solutions under a single banner. By integrating the capabilities from our recent acquisitions, we’ve assembled an industry-leading portfolio that enables us to support our customers across the full technology stack – from cloud infrastructure to modern digital transformation initiatives leveraging Microsoft’s latest solutions. Since the acquisitions, valued clients such as British Heart Foundation, Breedon and ArrowXL have expanded their services beyond core Node4 offerings, benefiting from the group portfolio.”

Also joining Node4’s senior leadership team are Mark Skelton and Mairead O’Connor, tasked with expanding Node4’s digital services business.

Skelton, Node4’s new chief technology and strategy director, brings over 20 years of expertise in Microsoft services leadership roles.

O’Connor, appointed as practice operations director under Skelton, brings her experience from leadership roles in digital professional services, including establishing a cloud platform engineering unit at AND Digital in London.

Additionally, Node4 welcomes Jim Casey as the head of its CXM Practice.

With over 25 years of experience, Casey has a background in designing and delivering enterprise turnkey solutions. He has worked with systems integrators such as PricewaterhouseCoopers consulting, IBM, and NTT DATA.
