Developer to transform historic mill into residential development

Crossover Property has acquired the Mills Warehouse in Newark and plans to convert it into a residential development, pending amended planning approval.

The Nottinghamshire-based firm aims to create 16 apartments, 14 storage units, a house conversion, and two new builds on the site, which spans over an acre along the River Trent.

While the building is not listed, it has historical significance, with original elements such as beamed ceilings and a character façade to be restored and preserved.

Director at Crossover Property, James Cross, said: “Keeping the roots of this building intact is incredibly important, not only to us but the residents and community that already have strong ties to the Mill. We want to keep as much of the original features as possible, ensuring that the character is here for future generations.”
