Games Workshop reveals plans to expand Nottingham campus

Fantasy games manufacturer and retailer Games Workshop has submitted plans to build a new factory alongside its existing base at Willow Road in the Lenton area of Nottingham.
The new 63,000 sq ft facility will be used to manufacture Games Workshop’s products. The firm will also move its packing operations to the building so that it can expand its tooling and injection moulding capabilities. This expansion will start from the Summer of Autumn of 2026, will last for five years and will create an undisclosed number of new jobs.
The plans also include office space and ancillary space over three floors.
A planning statement from Jackson Design Associates, the architect designing the new factory, reads: “The proposed development will strengthen existing employment provision by adding new floor space (expansion) for an established significant employer, enabling modernisation and increased capacity for manufacturing output. It will also help to secure and potentially provide additional jobs in manufacturing and warehousing employment in the future.”
The plans comes as Games Workshop is set to post a surplus of around £200m for the year ending June 2 – up from £171m in 2023. Meanwhile revenues are also set to rise to £490m – up from £445m last year.
The company’s staff are set to receive a boost from the performance, with group profit share cash payments of £18m to be paid out – up from £11m in 2023.
