Winners revealed at East Midlands Rainmaker Awards

The Rainmaker winners

Davis Bains, LDC

It was quite a night for private equity firm LDC at the East Midlands Rainmaker Awards, held at the Crowne Plaza in Nottingham on Thursday evening (November 21).

Not only did David Bains, head of the East and East Midlands at LDC, walk away with the Rainmaker of the Year crown, the firm also triumphed in the VC/Private Equity Team of the Year award, while its acquisition of DSP was named as the Private Equity Exit of the Year and its investment into Integrated Doorset Solutions won in the Medium Deal of the Year category.

The winners and shortlisted were celebrated in front of more than 250 corporate finance professionals at the inaugural edition of the Rainmaker Awards in the East Midlands.

The Rainmaker Awards was kindly sponsored by Dow Schofield Watts, MHA and Campaigner. The charity partner for the awards evening was Footprints, while the event’s data partner was Experian.
