Hortons gets green light for 68,000 sq ft warehouse

Hortons has been given the green light for the final phase of its development at Saxon Park in Corby.

The project will see the creation of a 68,000 sq ft warehouse, known as Saxon 68, at the Oakley Hay Industrial Estate.

The new building will include facilities such as a 12.5-meter eaves height, a 520 KVA power supply, and first-floor offices.

Construction is expected to begin soon, with completion scheduled for late 2025.

The Saxon Park site already has other developments underway, including Saxon 79 and Saxon 129, which will offer a combined 207,800 sq ft of space.

Both of those buildings are set to be available for lease in the second half of 2025.

Hortons acquired Saxon Park in 2023 and has also completed the refurbishment of Saxon 58 in 2024, a 58,350 sq ft unit let to Russell & Bromley.

James Slater of Hortons said: “We are investing in a full-scale redevelopment programme at Saxon Park to create high-specification units that offer enhanced power and sustainability. Saxon 68 is a key part of this plan, delivering best-in-class industrial/logistics space in an established and sought-after location.”
