On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Melton Building Society has announced the appointment of its new non-executive director Kath Myers.
Myers has joined the Society’s Board bringing with her a wealth of experience in financial services, having spent over 40 years working in the financial services sector with ten of those being in senior executive roles at National Australia Group, Barclays and Cumberland Building Society.
Myers who is a graduate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FCIB) has extensive experience in commercial lending, banking, credit analysis commercial lending, banking, credit analysis, foreign exchange (FX) options and credit cards.
She said: “I’m delighted to join Sue and the rest of the Board and CEO Simon Taylor in what is set to be an exciting year for the Society. I’m thrilled to be joining the organisation as we start to celebrate turning 150 years old and work towards the delivery of the next stages of the Society’s digital transformation. It’s a crucial time to represent the views of our membership and guide the organisation in forging a Society fit to serve our members for the next 150 years.”
Sue Douthwaite chair of the board said: “On behalf of the board, I would like to extend a huge welcome to Kath as she joins us on the board of directors. Kath’s expertise and experience within the financial services sector will be invaluable as we embark upon this transformational year for the Society.”
Lucy Gebbie has been promoted and will now take on the role of director of corporate resources at Rykneld Homes.
Gebbie will step up from her current position, head of corporate services, to join the newly-formed team with immediate effect.

Lorraine Shaw, MD said: “Lucy is an excellent addition to the executive team and we’re looking forward to putting some of the excellent ideas she brought to the interview into practice.
“Gatenby Sanderson did a great job of attracting some really strong candidates and managing the recruitment process with us.”
Rykneld Homes (RH) manages around 7,600 properties across North East Derbyshire on behalf of the district council.
Gebbie’s portfolio will include, governance & regulation, finance, ICT & digital, people & organisational development, compliance & disrepair, customer services, communications and business development.
She said: “I’m looking forward to building on my existing Rykneld Homes experience as part of the executive team. The new role will allow me to continue managing and elevating the work of the excellent teams we already have in place here.”
