Global packaging company wraps up deal to buy Leicester supplier

A Leicester-based packaging supplier has been acquired by global distributor Antalis.

The Packaging Company (Midlands), founded in 1994, supplies packaging products to sectors including healthcare, logistics, engineering, and manufacturing.

It operates from two sites in Leicester, employs 24 staff, and has a turnover of £3.2m.

The business, which originally focused on packaging for the hosiery industry, was sold in a deal advised by KBS Corporate’s Jacob Lord.

Antalis UK, whose UK HQ is in Leicestershire, is part of the Antalis Group, a major distributor of paper, packaging and visual communication products.
