Historic Derby department store to become church

A landmark Derby city centre building has been sold for the first time in its history.

The former Central Co-op department store on the corner of East Street and Exchange Street has been bought by RCCG Solid Rock Church.

Previously occupied by Lee Longlands, which closed earlier this year, the building will now be used by the Pentecostal church, which is currently based on Woods Lane.
