Construction firm beats forecasts as turnover hits £150m and cash surges

Construction group Stepnell has reported turnover of £150m and a sharp increase in cash reserves after delivering what its chief executive described as a "significantly improved performance" in challenging market conditions.

The contractor posted pre-tax profits of £2.8m for the year to March 2026, while cash balances rose to £20.8m as the business focused on delivering projects on time and within budget.
