‘Complete carnage’: Derby builder jailed over £200,000 home improvement scam

A Derby builder who took more than £200,000 from homeowners while knowing his company was insolvent has been jailed for two years and four months.

Michael Haslam, 74, of Littleover, admitted fraudulent trading after continuing to take upfront payments through M&J Builders despite knowing the business could not pay its debts.
