Profits plunge 85% at Nottinghamshire engineering firm

Profits have plunged by almost 85% at Nottinghamshire engineering company Goodman Metalworks after what directors described as a "quieter marketplace".

The fabricated metals specialist, based in Colwick, saw pre-tax profits fall from £646,000 to just £98,000 in the year to March 31, 2026.

Turnover also dropped by 9.3%, from £9.3m to £8.4m, according to newly-filed accounts.
