Notts CCC appoints new chief executive ahead of Ashes summer
Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club has appointed Michael Temple as its new chief executive.
Temple takes up the role immediately after previously serving as the club’s interim chief executive and commercial director.
He brings experience across professional sport and venue management, including spells at Glamorgan County Cricket Club and London’s Olympic Stadium, as well as two periods working for Nottinghamshire.
Nottinghamshire chairman Andy Hunt said: “Michael has demonstrated total commitment to Nottinghamshire and has provided assured leadership as Interim Chief Executive.
“He understands what this club means to its members and supporters, and combines that understanding with commercial and operational experience, mature judgement and significant ambition for our future.
“We look forward to working with Michael to support successful teams, further strengthen the club’s financial position, develop our facilities and ensure Trent Bridge continues to offer an outstanding experience for everyone who visits.”
Temple said: “It is a privilege to be appointed Chief Executive of a club that means so much to me.
“There is much to look forward to at Trent Bridge as we prepare to host the men’s and women’s Ashes next summer, return to our redeveloped pavilion and position ourselves to build upon the winning records of our teams.
“The support I’ve received over the past few weeks and throughout my 16 seasons at Trent Bridge has been immense and I’m incredibly proud to lead a group of people that care about this club as deeply as I do and are committed to shaping a prosperous future.”
