Orderwise secures deal with Dragons’ Den stars

Lincolnshire-based software company OrderWise has just secured a contract to work with a Dragons’ Den-backed firm stars GripIt Fixings.

GripIt Fixings, a plasterboard fixing firm run by young entrepreneur Jordan Daykin, recently featured on the BBC show to pitch for an initial investment of £80,000, catching the eye of investor Deborah Meaden. She has since provided a further £900,000 to fund growth, seeing the business expand into larger premises and buy technology to keep up with demand.

Having started life in a garden shed, the company also recently closed a highly successful crowdfunding campaign at £2m – half a million more than their initial target – raising the capital in just five days to support their international expansion.

OrderWise has signed a deal to streamline and manage GripIt’s orders and invoices, as well as helping them to have better insight into their stock levels.

Daykin said: “We’ve seen tremendous growth across the business over the last 18 months and as we begin our venture into international markets, it’s become even more crucial that we keep a strict eye on our supply and demand. The OrderWise platform will help us continue business as usual and ensure nothing slips through the net.”

OrderWise marketing manager Jon Roberts said: “We’re delighted to be working with such a fast-growing and focused company. Jordan’s invention is so simple, but so effective and we can see why it’s been such a hit. Using the OrderWise platform will ensure they can continue to deliver a great service and will also provide the means for future growth.”
