On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Derby law firm Flint Bishop Solicitors has added two new people to its partnership, taking the total count to 18 partners across all disciplines.

Martyn Brierley is now partner and head of corporate. Brierley joined the business in 2005 where he completed his training contract. He returned to the business in 2012 and was made associate in 2013.

The second addition to the partnership is notary public, Lucy Carter. She joined the Commercial Property department from local firm JH Powell. Carter is one of only a handful of Notaries Public in Derbyshire, with only 900 throughout England and Wales.

Meanwhile, law firm Browne Jacobson has announced the promotion of four lawyers to its Nottingham partnership, bringing the total number of partners at the firm to 109.

Richard Briggs and Amanda Wright-Kluger becomes partners in the firm’s Health Advisory and Litigation department, whilst Mick Suggett and Robert Wofinden step up at Property (Health and Development & Housing).
