High-profile councillor joins Potter Clarkson

Nick McDonald, the well-known intellectual property lawyer who combines his day job with that of being portfolio holder for jobs and growth at Nottingham City Council, has joined Potter Clarkson.

McDonald joins Potter Clarkson as partner from Nelsons where he worked for just over two years. Before that he was at Browne Jacobson.

Potter Clarkson is one of Europe’s best-known patent and trademark attorneys. It is based in Nottingham where it employs around 150 staff and has been established for over 125 years.

The firm is headed by managing partner Colin Baker.
