UHY Hacker Young has announced two senior promotions at its Nottingham office as the national accountancy group continues to build its leadership team in the East Midlands.<\/p>\n
Chris McKain has been promoted to partner, while Hannah Kasem has been appointed director within the firm\u2019s Nottingham tax advisory department.<\/p>\n
McKain has been with UHY Hacker Young for more than a decade, having previously trained and worked at two other large UK accountancy firms. His work focuses on not-for-profit organisations, including sporting bodies, alongside owner-managed businesses and larger corporate groups across the East Midlands.<\/p>\n
His experience spans audit and assurance, sector-specialist audits and due diligence projects. He is known for his practical, hands-on approach and for delivering high-quality services that support clients\u2019 long-term growth, bringing a broad range of commercial and sector expertise to the Nottingham team.<\/p>\n
Kasem trained with UHY Hacker Young and now advises a wide range of clients, including owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth individuals, on corporate and private client tax planning.<\/p>\n
Her work includes advising on succession planning, business exits and long-term tax strategies, with particular expertise in personal taxation and Inheritance Tax. The firm said her forward-thinking approach helps clients preserve wealth while navigating complex tax challenges.<\/p>\n
