{"id":2110836,"date":"2026-05-25T06:55:59","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T05:55:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/eastmidlands\/?p=2110836"},"modified":"2026-05-25T06:55:59","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T05:55:59","slug":"gi-group-launches-worker-app-and-ai-chatbot-in-digital-transformation-push","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/eastmidlands\/news\/2110836-gi-group-launches-worker-app-and-ai-chatbot-in-digital-transformation-push","title":{"rendered":"Gi Group launches worker app and AI chatbot in digital transformation push"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"166\" data-end=\"354\">Chesterfield-headquartered <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Gi Group<\/span><\/span> has launched a new worker app and expanded its AI chatbot capabilities as part of a wider digital transformation programme.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"356\" data-end=\"600\">The recruitment and HR specialist said the new app is designed to simplify the candidate journey, allowing workers to register, browse and accept shifts, manage timesheets, request holidays and access payroll features through a single platform.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"602\" data-end=\"782\">The move is aimed at reducing reliance on phone and text-based communication for digitally engaged workers, while maintaining traditional support options for those who prefer them.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"784\" data-end=\"949\">Martin Gunn, IT director at Gi Group, said: \u201cThe launch of our best-in-class worker app is a key development for our business, customers and the candidates we serve.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"951\" data-end=\"1141\">\u201cWe\u2019re creating a more seamless, user-friendly experience that empowers candidates to manage their working lives without friction, while also enabling our teams to operate more efficiently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1143\" data-end=\"1347\">A key focus of future development will be multilingual capability. Gi Group said pilot work has already taken place with Romanian speakers, with plans to expand the platform to support up to 10 languages.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1349\" data-end=\"1500\">Alongside the app rollout, the company has enhanced its AI chatbot, first introduced in late 2024 to support job applications and candidate engagement.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1502\" data-end=\"1706\">Gi Group said around 70% of candidates who used the chatbot and were pre-qualified went on to submit a job application, with the technology also helping maintain engagement outside standard working hours.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1708\" data-end=\"1913\">Zak Harper, marketing director at Gi Group, said: \u201cThe chatbot has already shown its ability to drive applications, but we\u2019re now evolving its role at pace to encourage candidates to enrich their profiles.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1915\" data-end=\"2059\">\u201cThis helps us identify the right people fast, reduces reliance on paid advertising and ultimately builds a stronger, more engaged talent pool.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2061\" data-end=\"2237\">The app and chatbot launch forms part of a broader technology rollout across the business, following the recent introduction of a client portal and workplace management system.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2239\" data-end=\"2314\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Gi Group UK employs
