Rothera Bray has announced several internal promotions, with twelve team members from across its office locations taking on new roles.

Two solicitors have been appointed to the role of senior associate: Abbey Freeman in the Conveyancing department based in Loughborough, and Charley Kelly from the Family Law team in Leicester.

A further three solicitors have progressed to associate level. Ed Granger and Laura Windsor, both from the Wills and Probate teams in Nottingham and Beeston respectively, join Lauren Kilbride from the Employment Law department in Nottingham in receiving this recognition.

The firm has also recognised progression within its wider legal teams. Brett James, previously a senior paralegal in the Wills and Probate team in Nottingham, has been promoted to private client executive.

In addition, six paralegals have been promoted to senior paralegal roles. These promotions include Priscilla Dohara (Conveyancing, Loughborough), Molly Francis (Serious Personal Injury, Nottingham), Eleanor Kivneen (Dispute Resolution, Nottingham), Lorraine Lloyd (Family, Market Harborough), Ellie Spence (Serious Personal Injury, Nottingham), and Lucy Tyler (Serious Personal Injury, Nottingham).

Christina Yardley, CEO at Rothera Bray said: “These promotions reflect the outstanding talent, dedication, and professionalism we are proud to nurture at Rothera Bray. Each individual has demonstrated not only exceptional legal expertise but also a real commitment to client service and teamwork that truly embodies our firm’s values. We are thrilled to celebrate their achievements and look forward to seeing them continue to thrive in their new roles.”

BTG Eddisons is adding to its next generation of surveying talent this summer in welcoming Guy Cubitt to the position of graduate surveyor in the East Midlands and East regions.

As one of a clutch of new graduates being recruited to the firm this summer, two new hires at this level joined the Peterborough office last month (May), with more set to be announced in other office locations across the country – Guy Cubitt joins fresh from Oxford Brookes University where he studied for a BSc in Real Estate.

Guy Cubitt

While based in the Cambridge office, Cubitt will gain experience across the BTG Eddisons’ East Midlands and East regions in working towards his RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) qualification in the coming years.

From a farming family background in Northamptonshire, Cubitt was able to bring his lived experience of commercial land use in what is known as the East Midlands warehouse ‘Golden Triangle’ to bear in his dissertation on the effect e-commerce has had on the design and location of logistics hubs.

As a graduate surveyor, he will gain experience in a number of surveying disciplines, but he admits that commercial agency is likely to be the service on which he will major as he develops his BTG Eddisons career.

Ben Green, director of property agency at BTG Eddisons said: “With a shrinking demographic from which to recruit the next generation of property professionals, it’s incumbent on us to attract bright young talent such as Guy and this year’s cohort of graduates – all of whom we welcome to the firm this summer at the start of their careers.”
