Leicester-based Barker Ross Group has returned to operating profit after growing revenues by more than 6% during its latest financial year.<\/p>\n
Newly filed accounts show turnover increased from \u00a345.6m to \u00a348.4m in the year to 30 November 2025, while the recruitment specialist posted an operating profit of \u00a3465,000, compared with an operating loss of \u00a3427,000 a year earlier.<\/p>\n
Pre-tax profit remained broadly unchanged at \u00a31.3m.<\/p>\n
The group, which supplies staff to the industrial, construction and healthcare sectors, said growth was driven by improved customer retention, new contract wins and a disciplined pricing strategy despite challenging market conditions.<\/p>\n
Directors said the business had strengthened its market position through improvements in service delivery and customer engagement, while continuing to pursue an organic growth strategy.<\/p>\n
The results mark the first full year of trading since Barker Ross became employee-owned. In July 2024, the former owner-directors and minority shareholders transferred 100% of the company’s equity into an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT).<\/p>\n
In its strategic report, the company said the ownership structure had become increasingly embedded within the business, helping to support employee engagement, accountability and collaboration.<\/p>\n
The group said it is continuing to explore opportunities in new sectors as it seeks to drive future growth and reduce exposure to economic pressures affecting the wider recruitment industry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
