Housebuilder Miller Homes has secured planning approval for a 115-home residential development in south Leicestershire, strengthening its pipeline in the East Midlands.<\/p>\n
Blaby District Council\u2019s planning committee has approved the scheme for land off Springwell Lane in Whetstone, paving the way for construction to begin later this summer.<\/p>\n
The 22.5-acre development, being delivered by Miller Homes East Midlands, will comprise a broad housing mix designed to meet local demand, ranging from one-bedroom properties through to five-bedroom family homes.<\/p>\n
The scheme includes 86 homes for private sale, eight of which will be bungalows, alongside 29 affordable homes split between shared ownership and affordable rent.<\/p>\n
Tom Roberts, regional operations director of Miller Homes East Midlands said: \u201cWe are naturally very pleased at the resolution to grant planning permission for 115 new homes in Whetstone, in an area of south Leicestershire in which Miller Homes is already well known as a developer.<\/p>\n
