A Leicester-based Pilates studio has secured £15,000 in funding to support the launch and fit-out of its new wellness-focused venture.

Reform and Glow, established in 2024 by Jodie Wilson, has used the funding from First Enterprise through the British Business Bank’s Start Up Loans programme to help cover early-stage costs, including equipment, staffing and studio fit-out.

The boutique fitness business specialises in Reformer Pilates and offers five class levels designed to create an inclusive and accessible environment for a wide range of abilities.

Following experience teaching at other studios, Wilson launched the business to create a dedicated space focused on community, wellbeing and a more personalised class experience.

Alongside financial support, the business also received guidance from a Start Up Loans mentor to help support its early growth and operational development.

Jodie Wilson, founder of Reform & Glow said: “I’ve always been passionate about both exercise and helping people. Starting my own studio has meant I could bring the two together, and the funding from the British Business Bank allowed me to achieve this success much faster. The response to the opening of the studio has been fantastic, and we’ve gone from strength to strength already.”

Louise McCoy, managing director of Start Up Loans Products, British Business Bank said: “Businesses that uplift their local communities and create spaces for people to come together are invaluable in so many ways. Supporting their successes with funding from the Start Up Loans programme proves its impact, and the Bank looks forward to seeing the business continue to thrive and grow in the future.”
