Leyland Packaging, the independent, family-run packaging supplier based in Northampton, has strengthened its commercial team with the appointment of Rebecca Dolan as business development manager.

Dolan brings more than ten years of experience in packaging, most recently in a senior new business role at one of Europe’s largest packaging suppliers, where she built and won accounts across a wide range of sectors.

At Leyland, she’ll take a hands-on, relationship-led approach, staying close to clients from the first conversation right through to delivery and beyond.

Her appointment is the latest step in a period of significant investment at Leyland Packaging, which has spent the last 12 months strengthening its people, operations and marketing to support its growth plans.

Dolan said: “I’ve spent my career consulting customers on their packaging requirements, helping them find solutions that work for their businesses and building strong relationships along the way. Through that experience, I’ve learned that the best results come from taking the time to understand each customer’s unique challenges and becoming a trusted partner rather than just a supplier.

“I admire what Leyland Packaging is building, and my ambition here is simple: to help customers find the packaging solutions that are genuinely right for them, to build on Leyland’s reputation for a personal, friendly service, and to support the wider growth of the business along the way. I’m looking forward to getting to know our customers, understanding their challenges, and helping provide packaging solutions that make a difference. I can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Mark Bates, managing partner at Leyland Packaging said: “Rebecca has considerable experience and a clear understanding of the challenges packaging customers are facing today, and this is the perfect time to be bringing that kind of commercial experience into the business. She understands packaging, she knows what customers are looking for, and she has the track record to prove it. We’re an independent, family-run business with a clear vision for growth. Rebecca’s appointment is part of a deliberate push to grow Leyland Packaging significantly over the next few years, and I’m looking forward to working closely with her to help make that happen.”
