A Leicestershire entrepreneur has launched a specialist marketplace aimed at reshaping how businesses buy and sell commercial vehicles and industrial assets.<\/p>\n
Charlie Barre, who previously worked as fleet manager at Meynell Plant Hire, has launched FleetMKT after identifying a gap in the market through years of experience managing commercial vehicles and plant equipment.<\/p>\n
The Leicester-based business provides an online auction platform connecting commercial vehicle dealers, fleet operators, businesses, sole traders and independent buyers, offering a dedicated marketplace focused specifically on commercial assets.<\/p>\n
FleetMKT covers a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including vans, HGVs, trucks, trailers, plant machinery and specialist commercial vehicles, providing businesses with a platform designed around the needs of the sector rather than consumer vehicle sales.<\/p>\n
The idea for the business came from Barre\u2019s own experience within the fleet industry, where he regularly managed vehicle replacements, asset disposal and purchasing decisions.<\/p>\n

FleetMKT came from my own experience working in the fleet and plant industry and recognising there was an opportunity to create something that better reflected the way businesses actually buy and sell commercial vehicles.\u201d<\/p>\n

Buyers can browse listings, register and place bids free of charge, with fees only applying when a purchase is successfully completed. Sellers pay a fixed fee only once an asset has sold, with charges varying depending on the type and value of the vehicle or machinery.<\/p>\n
