A Derby-based dentist has acquired Ashbourne dental practice TLC4 Smiles in a six-figure transaction, launching a new business venture under the name Derbyshire Dental.<\/p>\n
Dr Jacob (Jake) Thompson completed the deal to take ownership of the practice; the transaction was structured through the creation of Thompson Dental Limited, which has acquired TLC4 Smiles (Ashbourne) LLP.<\/p>\n
Copper Swan assisted Dr Thompson throughout the acquisition, providing strategic support and helping secure funding options for the deal.<\/p>\n
The transaction was funded by Lloyds Bank, with legal advice provided by Nelsons, where Rachel Bennett led on the legal work, and DJH Accountants, with Steve Martin supporting on accounting and financial matters.<\/p>\n
The Ashbourne practice holds one of the town\u2019s remaining NHS dental contracts, giving the new owner a platform to build on existing demand for dental services in the area.<\/p>\n
Dr Thompson, who has built his clinical career in the Derby region, will now oversee the transition of the practice to Derbyshire Dental, with plans to develop the business while maintaining its focus on patient care and access to NHS and private dentistry.<\/p>\n
A new 15-year lease has also been agreed for the premises, providing a long-term base for future investment and growth.<\/p>\n
