{"id":2113131,"date":"2026-07-24T10:23:56","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T09:23:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/eastmidlands\/?p=2113131"},"modified":"2026-07-24T10:23:56","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T09:23:56","slug":"marketing-nottingham-and-nottinghamshire-highlights-investment-and-visitor-growth-in-annual-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/eastmidlands\/news\/2113131-marketing-nottingham-and-nottinghamshire-highlights-investment-and-visitor-growth-in-annual-review","title":{"rendered":"Marketing Nottingham and Nottinghamshire highlights investment and visitor growth in annual review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Marketing Nottingham and Nottinghamshire has reported a year of growth across investment, tourism and business engagement, with new projects, record visitor figures and major events helping raise the region\u2019s profile.<\/p>\n<p>The region\u2019s official place marketing organisation has published its latest Annual Review, outlining activity across inward investment, destination marketing, business events and support for local companies.<\/p>\n<p>Working alongside partners including the East Midlands Combined County Authority, Nottingham City Council, Nottinghamshire County Council and the wider business community, the organisation said its activity has helped strengthen the area\u2019s appeal as a place to visit, invest and do business.<\/p>\n<p>Invest in Nottingham helped secure new investment projects expected to create 477 jobs, while also supporting the relocation of 100 existing roles into Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.<\/p>\n<p>The visitor economy also recorded strong results, with Visit Nottinghamshire achieving 4.82 million website visits and welcoming more than 100,000 people through the Nottingham Tourism Centre.<\/p>\n<p>The year also saw the launch of the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Ambassadors Programme, bringing together business leaders, academics and researchers to support conference and investment opportunities, while the FUTUREPROOF business forum attracted more than 370 delegates and 70 speakers.<\/p>\n<p>Marketing campaigns delivered a combined reach of 134.3 million through media coverage, with the \u2018At the Centre of it All\u2019 tourism campaign generating more than 6.4 million impressions and a 114% year-on-year increase in website users.<\/p>\n<p>Megan Powell Vreeswijk, chief executive of Marketing Nottingham and Nottinghamshire said: \u201cThis has been another strong year for Marketing Nottingham and Nottinghamshire and a great example of what can be achieved through partnership. Together with our members and stakeholders, we\u2019ve continued to raise the profile of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, support economic growth and create new opportunities for businesses, visitors and investors. As we look ahead, we\u2019ll continue building on this momentum to ensure our region remains a leading destination to visit, invest, meet and do
