Nottingham College is teaming up with one of the automotive sector\u2019s fastest-growing groups to create a new training hub aimed at developing the next generation of vehicle technicians across the UK.<\/p>\n
The partnership with Chery Group\u2019s UK brands OMODA | JAECOO, Chery and Lepas will see the college\u2019s Ruddington campus become the base for dealer network training, supporting workforce development as the brands continue their UK expansion.<\/p>\n
The collaboration will deliver a range of technical programmes, including IMI-accredited electric vehicle training, body repair courses, fundamental electrical training and brand-specific technical introductions.<\/p>\n
The partners will also develop online and classroom-based learning routes to help technicians progress towards Master Technician status.<\/p>\n
As part of the agreement, Chery Group will also invest in Nottingham College facilities, including sponsoring vehicle ramps and apprentice workwear at its Highfields campus to ensure learners have access to industry-standard equipment.<\/p>\n
Students will benefit from direct engagement with the automotive group through guest speakers, employer events and insight sessions focused on future careers and emerging technologies within the sector.<\/p>\n
