A long-established Nottingham hotel has completed a major refurbishment programme and secured a new chapter for the business after joining Marriott International\u2019s global portfolio.<\/p>\n
The St James\u2019 Hotel on Rutland Street has officially rebranded as Four Points Flex by Sheraton Nottingham, becoming the city\u2019s only Marriott-branded hotel and one of just a small number of properties operating under the brand in the UK.<\/p>\n
Owned and operated by the Johal family since 2013, the hotel has undergone a \u00a32m investment programme designed to modernise its facilities and strengthen its position within Nottingham\u2019s competitive hospitality market.<\/p>\n
The refurbishment has included upgrades to all 90 guest rooms, improvements to public areas, a redesigned lobby and restaurant, and the introduction of an open-plan co-working space to meet the changing needs of both leisure and business travellers.<\/p>\n
The move brings the property into Marriott International\u2019s expanding Four Points Flex by Sheraton brand, which targets travellers seeking well-located accommodation with reliable service and value. The brand forms part of Marriott\u2019s wider midscale offering, with hotels operating across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Japan.<\/p>\n
General manager Julian Saunders said the investment reflected the business\u2019s confidence in Nottingham\u2019s future as a destination for visitors, corporate travellers and events.<\/p>\n
He said the partnership with Marriott would provide access to a wider international audience through Marriott Bonvoy, the company\u2019s global travel programme, while helping the hotel continue to build its reputation within the city\u2019s Castle Quarter.<\/p>\n

The hotel, which was previously known as The Rutland Square Hotel, will continue to operate under the Johal family\u2019s ownership while benefiting from Marriott\u2019s international reach, systems and brand recognition.<\/p>\n
