Recruitment firm Staffline has reported a strong first half of 2026 after securing new contracts and expanding work with existing customers, leaving the business on track to deliver full-year results towards the top end of market expectations.<\/p>\n
The group posted revenue of \u00a3559.4m for the six months to 30 June, up 15.2% from \u00a3485.8m a year earlier, while operating profit increased 57.6% to \u00a35.2m, and pre-tax profit rose from \u00a30.6m to \u00a32.9m.<\/p>\n
Nottingham-based Staffline said growth was driven by new contract wins, increased demand from existing customers and continued cost control.<\/p>\n
The company also reported strong demand across its logistics, supermarket distribution and food manufacturing operations, while Recruitment GB temporary working hours increased 10.7% compared with the same period last year.<\/p>\n
Its Datum RPO managed services business also performed strongly, with contribution rising 37.3% to \u00a31.4m as employers sought advice on changing employment practices. Meanwhile, Recruitment Ireland recorded a 33.3% increase in permanent placement fees.<\/p>\n
The group said contract renewal activity remained high during the period, successfully retaining six major customer contracts, giving it strong momentum heading into the second half of the year.<\/p>\n

The company returned a further \u00a33.2m to shareholders through a share buyback during the first half, taking the total returned since August 2023 to \u00a317.3m.<\/p>\n
Looking ahead, Staffline said trading had remained strong into the second half of the year, with temporary worker hours in the final week of June up 18.3% year on year, leaving the business well positioned to deliver results towards the top end of current market expectations for 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
