A new vehicle service centre in Burton is set to create around 25 jobs as it transforms a former commercial site into a new automotive hub.<\/p>\n

MotorSorted is preparing to open at the former Toyota site on Moor Street this autumn, with recruitment now under way as the business builds its team ahead of launch.<\/p>\n

The new independent autocentre, launched by the Malpass family, will provide servicing, diagnostics, ADAS, tyres and repairs for cars and vans, alongside specialist servicing for motorhomes and campervans.<\/p>\n

The family, which has experience in the leisure vehicle sector, said creating local employment was a key priority as the project moves forward.<\/p>\n

Shane Malpass said: “Over the next few months we’re going to be fitting out the workshop, bringing in new equipment and systems, and – most importantly – hiring the right team. When we first saw the old Toyota site come up, we couldn’t wait to get started. It’s the perfect place.”<\/p>\n

The team is also sharing updates on the redevelopment of the site as it progresses towards opening, giving the local community an insight into the transformation.<\/p>\n

Victoria Malpass said: “We know we’ve got to earn our place and build a reputation we’re proud of. It’s going to be all about how well we treat people and the quality of the work we do. We can’t wait to see everybody from Burton and the surrounding areas bring their vehicle in when the doors open.”<\/p>\n

The new centre is expected to open in autumn 2026 and will support employment growth while bringing a long-standing Burton commercial site back into use.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
