Music licensing organisation PPL PRS has committed to Leicester city centre for the longer term after signing a five-year lease extension at its existing offices.<\/p>\n
The agreement safeguards existing jobs and will support the creation of new technology roles as the organisation continues to grow.<\/p>\n
The lease extension follows support from Invest in Leicester, which worked with PPL PRS as it reviewed its long-term property requirements and future growth plans.<\/p>\n
The organisation considered a range of options before deciding to remain in its current city centre location, where it will continue to benefit from transport links, ongoing regeneration projects and access to local talent.<\/p>\n
Invest in Leicester also connected the business with recruitment initiatives and Leicester’s Graduate Retention Programme, helping it access graduates from the city’s three universities.<\/p>\n
Sir Peter Soulsby, City Mayor of Leicester, said: “We are delighted to see that PPL PRS have extended their commitment to Leicester city centre. When they originally looked at locating to the city, we worked collectively to ensure that Leicester could provide the right environment, talent and skills pipeline their business needed to grow.<\/p>\n
“We have worked tremendously hard to support their continued presence in the city, and we are pleased that they will remain in their current premises while continuing to expand over the coming years. This is a significant milestone for Leicester city centre and for the people employed by PPL PRS. Credit must also go to our university partners for helping to develop the talent pipeline that will support the company’s future growth.”<\/p>\n
