Likewise Group is set to complete the purchase of a new distribution facility in Corby as it continues to expand its UK logistics network.<\/p>\n
The Birmingham-based flooring distributor has exchanged contracts to acquire the 60,000 sq ft freehold property for \u00a39.57m, with completion scheduled for 21 August.<\/p>\n
The site is expected to become operational in January 2027 and will provide additional storage, cutting and trunking capacity for the Likewise Floors network.<\/p>\n
July revenue was 23.9% higher than the same month last year, while like-for-like sales for the year to date were up 18.3%.<\/p>\n
Likewise said order intake and invoicing in August had also started strongly ahead of the traditionally busier autumn trading period.<\/p>\n
Tony Brewer, chief executive of Likewise said: \u201cThe additional distribution hub in Corby will significantly increase storage, cutting and trunking capacity through the Likewise Floors logistics network when it commences operations in January 2027. This is another very important step in the development of Likewise Group.<\/p>\n
