Plato Racing Limited’s assets, intellectual property, commercial relationships and operational infrastructure are being offered for sale, with the company headquartered in Northamptonshire.<\/p>\n
The business has been presented as an opportunity to acquire an established BTCC platform, including competitive race cars, engineering personnel, recognised drivers and commercial sponsorship relationships.<\/p>\n
The administration comes shortly after the team secured its first outright BTCC victory at Knockhill, with Adam Morgan leading team-mate Daniel Rowbottom to a 1-2 finish.<\/p>\n
Both drivers then followed up with second-place finishes in the next two races, helping them consolidate top-10 positions in the overall drivers’ championship standings.<\/p>\n
Sale documents show the business recorded \u00a3545,073 in turnover against \u00a31.38m of overheads, resulting in an operating loss of \u00a3835,097.<\/p>\n
Court records indicate that notice of the appointment of an administrator was filed on 11 August 2026, with Pantera Valuation Services marketing the operation on behalf of the joint administrators.<\/p>\n
The sale covers the assets and infrastructure behind the team’s BTCC programme, which includes two self-developed Mercedes-AMG A35 race cars.<\/p>\n
The operation has established itself in the championship in a relatively short period, bringing together an experienced team of engineers, mechanics and drivers to develop and run its own cars.<\/p>\n
