Caddick Construction has strengthened its East Midlands operation with the appointment of Mark Lambkin as Construction Director, as the contractor positions itself for further growth across the region.

Lambkin joins from Bowmer & Kirkland, where he spent 13 years progressing from project management to Senior Contracts Manager. During his time there, he oversaw major developments across the Midlands and North West.

He brings more than 30 years of industry experience to Caddick, having started his career through a City & Guilds apprenticeship in Sheffield before moving into site management across residential and retail fit-out schemes.

His new role will cover the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to completion. He will work alongside clients and project teams to oversee delivery, with a focus on quality, safety and programme performance.

Lambkin has worked on a number of major developments, including Capital&Centric’s £60m Goods Yard build-to-rent scheme in Stoke-on-Trent and IQ Echo Street, a £130m high-rise student accommodation project in Manchester.

He is also a registered member of the Chartered Institute of Building and brings experience of the Building Safety Act and gateway approval process to the East Midlands team.

His appointment follows Paul Sykes joining Caddick as Regional Managing Director for the East Midlands in May. The business is now building out its regional operation as it looks to capitalise on a growing pipeline, particularly across high-rise residential, build-to-rent and multi-room accommodation.

Paul Sykes, regional managing director for Caddick Construction East Midlands said: “Mark’s appointment is a significant step for our East Midlands team. His extensive experience with complex, high-profile developments aligns perfectly with our ambitions to continue delivering high-quality, sustainable projects for our clients.”

Lambkin said: “I’m very proud of everything I achieved during my time at Bowmer & Kirkland, and I’m grateful for the opportunities and experience I gained over the past 13 years. Joining Caddick represents an exciting new chapter and a rare opportunity to help establish and grow the East Midlands business from its early stages.

“I’m looking forward to building on the region’s strong foundations, expanding our presence across the high-rise residential, build-to-rent and multi-room accommodation sectors, and working with the team to deliver exceptional projects that support Caddick’s long-term ambitions for growth.”

The latest appointment adds further senior expertise to Caddick’s East Midlands operation as it works to establish a stronger foothold in the regional construction market.
