Highcross Leicester is preparing to welcome fashion retailer Hollister, marking the brand’s first store in Leicestershire.<\/p>\n
The Abercrombie & Fitch-owned brand will open in the former Topshop unit at the city centre shopping destination, introducing its latest store format and a range of clothing, accessories and fragrances.<\/p>\n
The arrival is expected this winter and comes as Highcross continues to refresh its retail line-up.<\/p>\n
Hollister, which celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, was founded in Columbus, Ohio, in 2000 and has grown into an international fashion brand known for its casual, Southern California-inspired style.<\/p>\n
Its Leicester launch also comes amid renewed consumer interest in early 2000s fashion, with Y2K-inspired trends continuing to influence the high street and online retail.<\/p>\n
Highcross said the signing forms part of a wider strategy to attract brands that are in demand among local shoppers. It follows the opening of PURESEOUL at the centre earlier this year.<\/p>\n
Michelle Menezes, centre director at Highcross said: \u201cHollister has always been one of those brands that our shoppers have wanted at Highcross, and with the demand for early noughties fashion making a huge comeback, now is the right time to welcome this icon of high-street fashion to the centre.<\/p>\n
