Hortons has started work on a \u00a345m industrial and logistics development at Sinfin Commercial Park in Derby, with the first phase set to deliver 121,500 sq ft of space.<\/p>\n
The scheme is the largest development in the property company\u2019s more than 130-year history and will ultimately provide up to 271,500 sq ft across 17 units on the 23-acre estate.<\/p>\n
Construction is now under way on the first phase, which will deliver speculative industrial and logistics space close to the Rolls-Royce Sinfin campus, with direct access to the A50 and links to the M1. Completion is scheduled for August 2027.<\/p>\n
Amphion Construction has been appointed as contractor, with Align Architecture, OES Consulting and PMP Consultants also working on the project.<\/p>\n
The new buildings will target EPC A ratings and include photovoltaic solar panels and electric vehicle charging points. New estate roads and infrastructure will also be installed to support the wider development.<\/p>\n
Hortons acquired Sinfin Commercial Park in 2023 and plans to deliver the remaining units over the next three years, ranging from 5,000 sq ft to 70,000 sq ft.<\/p>\n
