Parcel delivery company DPD has agreed a five-year lease on an 82,000 sq ft warehouse at Indurent Park Derby, bringing the industrial and logistics development close to full occupancy.<\/p>\n
The company has taken the D82 unit, which comprises 78,585 sq ft of warehouse space and 4,350 sq ft of offices. The deal leaves just one unit, known as D43, available at the 800,000 sq ft scheme.<\/p>\n
DPD joins a tenant line-up that includes engineering group Rolls-Royce and heating technology manufacturer Vaillant UK, alongside businesses operating in sectors ranging from medical technology to fashion and beauty.<\/p>\n
George Goldsmith, senior asset manager at Indurent, said: \u201cIndurent Park Derby is home to an international mix of occupiers, from engineering and medtech firms to fashion and beauty brands, and we\u2019re pleased to welcome DPD to the park.\u201d<\/p>\n
The newly let unit has been designed to meet high sustainability standards, achieving a BREEAM Excellent rating and an EPC A+ rating. It also includes provision for solar photovoltaic panels and a dedicated warehouse lighting scheme.<\/p>\n
Indurent said the agreement reflected demand for well-connected, energy-efficient industrial space in the Midlands, as businesses seek facilities suited to their operational requirements.<\/p>\n
The park occupies a 50-acre site close to Pride Park and Wyvern Retail Park, on the former Chaddesden Sidings site. Development was carried out in three phases between 2021 and 2024, with more than \u00a3100m invested in the scheme.<\/p>\n
The programme was accelerated following Indurent\u2019s acquisition by investment firm Blackstone, with the aim of bringing new employment space to market more quickly and addressing a shortage of modern industrial and logistics premises in the region.<\/p>\n
The development was initially expected to take six to seven years to complete, but the timetable was shortened without compromising build quality.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
