The Caring Company Rutland has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators, with insolvency specialist Leonard Curtis handling the filing.<\/p>\n
The Oakham-based business provides homecare services and is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).<\/p>\n
A notice of intention provides a company with temporary protection from creditor action while options are considered and does not mean administrators have yet been appointed.<\/p>\n
The company’s latest accounts, for the year to May 31, 2025, show it had 64 employees, up from 35 a year earlier.<\/p>\n
At the year end, The Caring Company Rutland had current assets of \u00a3258,120, including \u00a3219,709 owed by debtors and \u00a338,411 in cash.<\/p>\n
Creditors falling due within one year stood at \u00a3140,036, leaving net current assets of \u00a3118,084. A further \u00a399,914 was owed after more than one year.<\/p>\n
Overall, the company reported net assets of \u00a323,221, compared with net liabilities of \u00a3117,066 a year earlier.<\/p>\n
Its short-term liabilities included \u00a320,165 in bank loans and overdrafts, \u00a367,763 of other creditors and \u00a347,433 owed in taxation and social security. Long-term bank borrowing stood at \u00a399,914.<\/p>\n
The accounts also reveal \u00a3127,522 was owed to the company by related parties at the balance sheet date. Directors had also received advances during the financial year, with outstanding balances of \u00a32,334 owed by Sikandar Hayat Zahid, \u00a325,903 by Asma Rehan and \u00a317,383 by Syed Ahmed.<\/p>\n
Companies House records show there have subsequently been a series of changes to the company’s board during 2026.<\/p>\n
The business was also subject to regulatory action earlier this year. The CQC currently rates its Oakham homecare service as \u201crequires improvement\u201d and says it served a warning notice in July after finding shortcomings in leadership, management oversight and governance systems.<\/p>\n
