Plans have emerged for a new New Orleans-inspired bar and restaurant in Nottingham\u2019s Lace Market.<\/p>\n
Nola is being lined up for 15-17 Stoney Street, with operator Nolaventuresuk Limited applying to Nottingham City Council for a new premises licence.<\/p>\n
The application describes Nola as a \u201cNew Orleans inspired bar and restaurant\u201d, operating from the ground floor of the building, with its kitchen and toilets in the basement.<\/p>\n
The operator is seeking permission for the venue to open from midday until 1am seven days a week.<\/p>\n
Alcohol sales would be permitted from noon until 12.30am, while late-night refreshment is proposed between 11pm and 12.30am. The application also seeks permission for live and recorded music until 1am.<\/p>\n
The application says the operator has worked in the hospitality industry for a number of years and already \u201csuccessfully operates a microbrewery in Nottingham\u201d.<\/p>\n
Benjamin Rose is named as the proposed designated premises supervisor, with his personal licence issued by Nottingham City Council. Rose runs the popular Old Angel pub opposite the site.<\/p>\n
Plans submitted with the application show a sizeable ground-floor restaurant and bar area facing Stoney Street, together with a separate bar and restaurant space and back-of-house areas. The basement plan includes the kitchen, toilets, storage and additional ancillary space.<\/p>\n
The application has been submitted by Nottingham-based Nolaventuresuk Limited, which gives its registered address as 7 Stoney Street, close to the proposed venue.<\/p>\n
The premises form part of a Stoney Street site which has been the subject of redevelopment proposals in recent years.<\/p>\n
