X-ray screening specialist Image Scan Holdings is expecting to return to profit after more than doubling its annual revenue.<\/p>\n
The Leicestershire-based group said turnover for the year to September 30, 2026, is expected to reach \u00a33.4m, up 112.5% from \u00a31.6m a year earlier.<\/p>\n
Pre-tax profits are forecast to be around \u00a3300,000, compared with a \u00a3300,000 loss in 2025, marking one of the company’s strongest profit performances in recent years.<\/p>\n
The figures remain subject to audit.<\/p>\n
Image Scan, which supplies X-ray screening and inspection systems to governments, defence and security contractors and industrial customers, said recently launched products had driven much of the improvement.<\/p>\n
Growth was recorded across its portable X-ray, industrial inspection and aftersales operations, with higher sales supported by cost controls and improved contract delivery.<\/p>\n
The company ended the financial year with an order book worth approximately \u00a31.4m and cash reserves of \u00a31.4m.<\/p>\n
The results follow the acquisition of ClanTect in August, which added human presence detection technology to Image Scan’s security portfolio.<\/p>\n
The group said the deal was the first step in a wider acquisition strategy and confirmed it was continuing to assess potential targets.<\/p>\n
Vince Deery, CEO of Image Scan, said: \u201cFY26 has been a defining year for Image Scan. Subject to audit, we will deliver a strong profit before tax of approximately \u00a30.3m, supported by revenue of approximately \u00a33.4m, a robust cash position and a healthy closing order book.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese results are a strong endorsement of the product strategy we have pursued. We have deliberately broadened and strengthened our portfolio, bringing new products to market that address clear customer needs and expand the opportunities available to our international partners.\u201d<\/p>\n
Deery said the business would continue pursuing acquisitions alongside organic growth.<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cClanTect is another important addition to that platform. It expands our technology offering and shows how carefully selected acquisitions can complement organic growth.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur acquisition strategy remains at an early stage, and we will continue to evaluate opportunities where there is a compelling strategic fit, a clear route to value creation and an appropriate balance of risk and reward.\u201d<\/p>\n
