Leicester care home acquired by leading luxury care provider
Local Leicester care home Cedar Mews has been acquired by leading English luxury care provider Berkley Care Group.
The Birstall-based home, which is rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), was previously owned by Cinnamon Care Collection, and now forms part of Berkley Care Group’s rapidly expanding portfolio of luxury homes across the South of England and the Midlands.
Cedar Mews offers residential and specialist dementia care to its residents, who enjoy luxury accommodation in the home’s 65 en-suite rooms and pleasant surroundings, with a patio garden perfect for outdoor activities and al fresco dining. On-site facilities, including a fully licensed café and bar, and beauty salon help deepen the home’s sense of community, giving resident’s ample opportunity to socialise with friends and staff.
Cedar Mews dedicates an entire floor to its specialist dementia provision, ensuring that residents are as comfortable as possible. It has worked with external partners to create a dementia friendly environment, with bold signage and ‘landmarks’ to help residents navigate around the home complementing the home’s highly trained dementia care team.
The acquisitions bolster Berkley’s selection of luxury homes, which come with high end décor and state-of-the-art facilities as standard. These include cinemas, specialist fitness suites, and advanced ventilation throughout their homes to help reduce the spread of infections such as COVID-19.
