Parentapps founder joins line-up for ThebusinessDesk.com innovation event

Kevin Clayton, the founder and CEO of award-winning Parentapps, has joined the line-up for a virtual event exploring how innovation is fuelling growth in the Liverpool City Region.

Kevin and his wife Hailey created Parentapps in 2015 to helps schools communicate with parents via its bespoke multi-functional digital app.

The app, PA Connect, is used by more than 100,000 parents allowing them to access all the latest news from their children’s schools.

In the last year sales of Parentapps’ services, which also include building school websites, were driven by lockdowns and the increasing need for schools to deliver homework remotely.

In 2018, the company was boosted by investment from former Tesco plc chief executive, Sir Terry and Bill Currie, an award-winning retail analyst for Barclays and Charterhouse which allowed the couple to take their technology to the next level.

He will be joining a host of speakers including Lorna Davidson, CEO of redwigwam; Stuart Dutton, Director of High Growth, Sedulo; Phil Whitehurst, Partner, Corporate Commercial, DTM Legal; Tristan Folkard, managing director of Liverpool digital marketing agency Castle; and Jade Parkinson–Hill, founder of virtual academy Steam School.

The webinar – Innovate to scale and unlock your potential for 2021 – will take place on 1 July at 9.30am.

The panelists will also look at the key drivers for growth in the region which has become a hub for innovation and creativity with digital transformation at the core of many of its businesses.
