Find out what the future holds for the region’s property sector

An in-person event will look at what the future holds for the region’s property sector.

Renowned architect Ian Simpson will join a panel of experts at tomorrow’s property breakfast event.

The architect behind Manchester’s Beetham Tower co-founded SimpsonHaugh with Rachel Haugh in 1987.

Today, the design-led architectural practice employs around 100 people across Manchester and London.

Simpson will be joining a panel at the Property investment in the North West – what does the future hold? event taking place on October 14 at The Manchester Conference Centre, Spinningfields between 8am-10am.

He will be joined by Max Bentham, Senior Development Surveyor at Muse Developments. Max has more than a decade of experience from across the sector and is playing a key role in the ongoing growth of Muse’s North West portfolio, working on projects in Salford initially, then across the wider region.

Also on the panel are John McCaffery, Tax Partner and Head of Tax at Alexander & Co and Owen Mckenna, Partner at law firm Beyond Corporate.

The event will explore the future for the property market and residential investment in the region, the demand for office space across the region and Manchester which is forecast to see the highest regional office-based employment growth over the next five years.

It will also discuss the future of the high street which has seen the hospitality and high street retail hit hardest over the last 18 months as well as the impact on this on local towns.

The event is being held in partnership with Alexander & Co and Beyond Corporate Law, which both have a long history of working closely in the property sector.

Shelina Begum, North West editor, said: “The property market in Greater Manchester has shown signs of recovery and in some areas has been booming with house prices rocketing during the pandemic.

“How the property sector develops, what the opportunities are in the sector and how the current changes have impacted the way we work and live will be explored at our in-person event.”

The event is FREE to attend and you can book your place here.
