Work on 25-storey Manchester tower is underway

Salboy's Victoria House

Work has started on a 25-storey residential tower in the heart of Piccadilly, Manchester.

Victoria House will provide 177 one, two and three bedroom and is the first residential scheme in this area open to both owner occupiers and investors.

The scheme in  Piccadilly Central is being developed by a joint venture between Salboy and Forshaw Land and Property and is being built by Domis Construction.

The tower has been designed by SimpsonHaugh Architects, with amenity spaces designed by Jolie Studio.

Simon Ismail, managing director, Salboy, said: “Piccadilly Central will be one of the great destination areas centred around a major transport interchange.

“The HS2 line and station will cement Manchester’s role as a key global city and the masterplan approved by Manchester City Council will ensure this vision is delivered to provide a vibrant mixed neighbourhood.”

He added: “We want to give local people the same opportunity to be in at the beginning of a scheme like this and it is exciting to see work start on site with demolition of the existing building almost complete and construction on track for completion in mid 2024.”

The project is being funded by Pollen Street Capital following the success of the partnership at Salboy’s Fifty5ive development in Salford.

James Bevans, Investment Director at Pollen Street Capital said: “Victoria House is a high-quality residential scheme and we are thrilled to see the positive impact of our partnership with Salboy helping to support the regeneration of the area.”

Victoria House will offer residents a roof top garden, high specification gym, large live/work area and luxurious lobby cum concierge lounge.

Commercial and retail spaces will provide a range of facilities at street level surrounding a community park.
