Kids Planet expands into North East after latest acquisition
Nursery group Kids Planet has expanded into the North East following its latest acquisition.
The group has bought five nurseries from Choice Childcare group.
The acquisition of Ashbrooke Day Nursery, Kenton Park Nursery School, Southfield Day Nursery, Wallsend Day Nursery and Westerhope Village Nursery sees Kids Planet expanding into a new area of the UK.
The five Choice Childcare nurseries are in Westerhope, Gosforth, Cramlington, Wallsend and Sunderland with the group having an ‘established presence in the North East early years sector.’
Clare Roberts, CEO at Kids Planet said: “As with all our settings, our number one priority is to offer the highest quality of care and education. We look forward to building on the legacy of the founders by continuing to create environments in which children can develop and thrive.”
Ajeet Chadda, former owner, said: “Running and growing Choice Childcare over the past decade or so has been a huge part of our lives, and it was never going to be an easy decision to handover the reigns to anyone.
“However, from the moment we met the Kids Planet team, we knew they were the right people to take the business forward and to the next level. They were a pleasure to deal with from the outset and we wish them every success in establishing presence in the North East.”
The latest deal follows Kids Planet’s acquisition of a group of five nurseries located in the Fylde Coast in Lancashire last month and a nursery in Worcestershire in May.
